Title: Training Specialist - Part-time (approx. 25 hours/week)Key Responsibilities: Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract diverse, mission-driven individuals to join our AmeriCorps program. Recruitment Needs Assessment: Conduct a recruitment needs assessment of our current AmeriCorps programs, including a general survey and in-depth discussions with selected programs or focus groups. Identify Successful Strategies: Identify successful recruitment strategies based on best practices from other AmeriCorps state programs, state commissions, and industry standards for Recruitment and Retention. Tools and Resources: Identify potential tools, resources, and technology systems (e.g., Handshake, recruitment platforms) to enhance AmeriCorps program recruitment efforts. Training and Technical Assistance: Provide training and technical assistance to AmeriCorps programs, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement successful recruitment strategies effectively. Outreach and Engagement: Conduct outreach to colleges, universities, community organizations, and online platforms to promote AmeriCorps opportunities and engage potential candidates. Marketing and Promotion: Develop and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, social media posts, and website content, to raise awareness of our AmeriCorps program. General Skills: Communication Networking Strategic thinker Tech savvy Problem Solver/Critical Thinker Time management Adaptability Analytical Attention to detail EthicalAdditional Information: This position is contracted for a year Contractor is expected to be at all staff and commission meetings (in-person) Contractor will receive state computer/email College degree preferred Familiar with AmeriCorps is a plusPlease note that this is a part-time position with the expectation being a work week of approximately 25 hours.Estimated Duration04/15/2024 - 06/30/2025
