As our Travel Technology Systems Manager, your role will involve maintaining and configuring key travel technology systems. This includes systems such as Travelport GDS, Worldspan GDS, Sabre GDS, mid-office automation and quality control systems, and various booking platforms. Ensuring accurate, valid, and complete system configurations and optimizations using the appropriate methods/tools will be a significant part of your job.

Success in this role will largely depend on your previous experience in travel technology system management, your exceptional problem-solving skills, and your capacity for researching and resolving complex system issues. Excellent time management skills, coupled with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, are also essential.

Additionally, you must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and configuring key travel technology systems including Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Travelport, Worldspan, and Sabre, as well as mid-office automation and quality control systems, and various booking platforms.
  • Ensuring accurate, valid, and complete system configurations and optimizations using the appropriate methods and tools.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues to maintain system uptime and performance.
  • Regularly reviewing system performance, conducting system improvements and performing regular updates and upgrades to ensure systems are running on the most current and secure version.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to other team members, and facilitating training to maximize the effective use of the systems.
  • Keeping abreast of technological advancements, NDC implementation, and industry trends relevant to our system platforms.
  • Maintain knowledge and system implementation of our air commission contracts
  • Reporting on system performance, problems, and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations in all operations and processes.
  • Collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and support teams as needed for system maintenance, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Managing system access rights and privileges.
  • Developing and maintaining system documentation including operational procedures and training materials.
  • Collaborating with other IT team members and business stakeholders for system integration, data exchange, and to achieve broader business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt/respond to different types of communication styles and with all levels of internal/external contacts
  • Resourceful and able to self-manage
  • Good researching skills
  • Experience in the travel industry is a plus and candidates located in the Atlanta, GA metro and willing to work in our Roswell HQ from time to time preferred
