The TPS National Sales Director leads all aspects of the Treasury Management sales division including the sales analyst team. This role drives non-interest-bearing deposit growth and fee income growth of Treasury Management products. This role oversees the performance of HTLFs TM sales programs for significant growth with a focus on sales strategy planning and business development efforts.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Develops and executes sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for deposit growth and treasury management products and services.
  • Develops sales, marketing and business development plan for self and sales officers; hold sales officers accountable to successfully executing plans.
  • Drives business development efforts to acquire new clients and expand existing relationships by generating pipeline deal flow from collaboration with RMs as well as self-sourced deals.
  • Develops product roadmap needed to support our clientele, implements promotional campaigns and product launches while collaborating with product management.
  • Ensures governance of pricing approvals is adhered.
  • In coordination with your sales team, joins in-market client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to highlight the value and benefits of treasury management offerings.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, such as retail branches, product management and client care/support/implementation, to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support for clients.
  • Hosts Client Advisory Meetings for commercial clients in-market to discuss upcoming new product capabilities in addition to demos and bringing awareness of current TM solutions that are offered.
  • Establishes and manages a process with sales team to identify new business opportunities, focused industry verticals and prospective clients through networking, referrals, and business development efforts.
  • Reviews and assists the sales team to generate leads, conduct prospect research, and qualify potential clients.
  • Prepares and delivers persuasive sales pitches and proposals to win new business.
  • Delivers and attends regular pipeline meetings, deposit and pricing committee meetings, and periodic loan committee meetings.
  • Understands the competitive landscape and positioning of the organization's offerings.
  • Maintains awareness of business and product specific risks and able to create, monitor and maintain sound business practices.
  • Establishes and monitors sales performance against targets/goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepares regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior management review.
  • Utilizes CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to track sales activities and manage client relationships.


Secondary Responsibilities


  • Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Management Responsibilities


  • Works with department staff on individual professional development and career development opportunities. Facilitates team members in creating individual goals and development plans that align with the department goals.
  • Works with HTLF's Talent Acquisition team to identify and hire the most qualified and talented individuals to fill open positions.
  • Provides information and on-going feedback to department staff regarding expectations and performance, salary adjustments and/or promotions.
  • Addresses and resolves all performance concerns and issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepares and conducts annual performance reviews within established deadlines.


Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of commercial banking experience within Treasury Management required experience in Treasury Management Sales is a plus
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience required
  • Production-focused with demonstrated understanding across treasury management, commercial banking, marketing, product management, advisory, and business development required
  • High attention to detail at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment required
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels required
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen, with a focus on driving revenue growth and profitability required
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM required
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation highly preferred


Travel Expectation


  • Up to 50%


This role is expected to travel to each market to meet with their TMOs, sales analysts and local leadership at least quarterly at a minimum to drive pipeline activities, attend key deal client meetings, and provide performance management activities including coaching, training and

The Targeted Salary For This Role Is


$197,202.00 - $256,363.00
