The DFPS Information Technology Services seeks Workers to perform in a Developer/Programmer Analyst role with UX skills and experience to assist in planning and coordinating continued modernization development activities for the DFPS complex casework management system IMPACT, PEIRS, ABCS, NEICE, SSCC, Child Placement Portal, Incentives and Remedies, Community Based Care, and other operational projects.The Workers will work with technical teams comprising of technical team leads, developers, user interface/user experience engineers, and technical/functional testing analysts. The Workers will facilitate meetings, elicit project details and document requirements for development projects focused on continuing modernization activities of existing DFPS Enterprise Java web applications. The Workers will also work in concert with various technical leads (e.g., PMO, CTO, and Systems Development Resources) to prioritize assigned work and develop recommendations, options, and alternatives as required. A Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 will be responsible for the modernization of existing DFPS Enterprise web applications, following established standards, quality attributes, and design specifications. This role will be responsible for the following: Define and Develop low-level design documentsContribute to and follow software engineering best practices to create robust and standardized solutionsWork closely with Business Analysis and Project Management in executing the assigned development workParticipate in design and development activities for existing and new componentsPerform full stack development including Database, Services, Web Applications, and Front-end development by utilizing various versions of programming languages and frameworksWrite scalable and high available code by following the design principles and software engineering best practicesPerform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, test case automation, continuous integration and continuous deploymentIdentify, investigate, and resolve production problems in a timely manner, based on the priorityTracking software development life cycle activity metrics as it relates to requirements and other established metrics.Taking initiative to develop a foster a collaborative approach among teams before, during and after the requirements gathering process to achieve a common mission, vision, values and goals.Minimum Requirements:Professional experience in software engineering.Hands-on experience in writing code with front-end development technology including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JavaScript Framework, Bootstrap 3 or 4, Angular 12 or latest.Expert in AJAX, Bootstrap (3 or 4), JavaScript framework, NPM.Experience in SOAP or RESTful Web Services. Integrate frontend interfaces with .NET based APIs and services.Expert in Angular Framework.Experience with user journey mapping, story boarding, creating mockups and wireframes, application usability design, fast prototyping, and proof-of-concept development. Translate requirements in to functional and visually appealing user interfaces.Expert in Responsive and Progressive Web Application Development.Working knowledge of code Version Control using SVN or Git.Technical Documentation including Design Documents, Standards, and Configuration Plans.Experience as a participant in agile software development teams.Working knowledge of Test Automation (Selenium, LoadRunner, Accessibility testing) and the ability to troubleshoot integrations with HP ALM.Working knowledge of Responsive / Mobile Development.Working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 / Sec 508.Experience with UI test framework Karma, Jasmine, Cucumber, QUnit or similar.Working knowledge of Continuous Integration, Jenkins or equivalent.Working knowledge of the following DFPS systems/programs: IMPACT, PEIRS, ABCS, NEICE, SSCC, Child Placement Portal, Incentives and Remedies, and Community Based Care.
