Edity Therapeutics ((link removed)) is a young and exciting biotech company that will revolutionize medicine by using the immune system to reprogram and heal dysfunctional cells. A group of smart and enthusiastic Israeli scientists, backed by US biotech VCs, have already demonstrated in-vitro and in-vivo proof-of-concept and are now looking to take the company to the next stage.

Edity is seeking to hire a President in the US to lead the fundraising activities and business transactions with large pharma.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive fundraising strategies and lead fundraising activities leveraging IR/PR. Needs to be well-networked and known within the venture community.
  • Lead the entire deal process cycle, including sourcing investment partners, building relationships with potential strategic partners, preparing for due diligence, developing the transaction thesis, and executing deal negotiations.
  • Work closely with the CEO, members of the leadership team, and the Board of Directors to define the company vision, strategy, and road map for long-term planning, including corporate development and partnering strategy. Design an executive business roadmap of potential business opportunities, including internal and external.
  • Act as an Ambassador within the US and Globally fostering strategic relationships in the industry. Represent the company at investor and strategic meetings, business conferences, and business meetings.
  • Responsible for creating materials for potential partners and investors; company presentations, executive summary, website, social media presence, and others.
  • A leading resource for knowledge of industry trends, target companies, and competitors within the industry. Monitor competitive intelligence by keeping up to date on market trends, competitors, and opportunities
  • Cultivate a strong and effective partnership with R&D and clinical development teams to evaluate the potential new therapies and integrate a commercial perspective early in the research and development process.
  • Ensure effective communication with shareholders and board members including quarterly updates.
  • Develop an international network of scientific advisors, key opinion leaders (KOLs), industry leaders, board chairpersons, and potential partners that will add value to the company.

Objective Key Results

  • Successfully conclude SAFE extension by $3M within the next 3 months
  • Initiate significant conversations with a minimum of 3-4 prominent pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies.
  • Establish two partnership deals with pharma / biotech companies within the next year.
  • Successfully close an A round private fundraising of $30-50 million within the next 24 months, through targeted outreach to potential investors and venture capitalists.

Requirements

  • Past experience in doing business in/with Israeli businesses
  • Based in the US
  • Experience in a start-up environment and established biotech and pharma exposure.
  • Proven track record of fundraising in biotech.
  • Proven track record in closing biotech licensing deals with strategic partners in various markets
  • Advantage:
  • Educational background in Biology, medicine, or other relevant scientific fields;
  • Experience in the field of Cell Therapy, including knowledge of regulatory and medical aspects
  • The position will require extensive travel.
