We are seeking a UX Designer to design enterprise business applications that meet business owners' and end-users' needs. In this role, you should be an analytical and creative user experience designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems quickly starting with concentrated information received in short durations such as 5-day Design Sprints or 2-day Innovation Sprints. You should possess the ability to comprehend business requirements and technical limitations. You can effectively take data from user research and translate it into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes

An understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies, enterprise software, and working with complex experiences is a requirement. Success in the role requires an innovative mind and a passion for creating exceptional user experience. Individuals in this role must be user-focused, analytical, highly creative, with strong verbal and written communication skills. A strong portfolio of successful UX Design projects is essential.

Being based in Austin, TX is a plus, but you are able to be work remote. Occasional travel to customers' sites may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients to establish value, understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision. Our clients expect a world-class user experience.
  • Facilitate Design Thinking Workshops and other UX activities with clients to gather requirements, create alignment, and generate buy-in.
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to customer vision and priorities.
  • Work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications, and articulating design decisions back to client and team.
  • Serve as a customer advocate to ensure the highest level of usefulness, usability and customer satisfaction.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Work closely with development and business teams, converting skeptics into UX advocates.
  • Authoritatively and intelligently iterate on designs, adjusting to technical requirements and incorporating usability improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field
  • 2 or more years of UX Design experience, including interaction design and information architecture work.
  • Experience designing complex applications for enterprise users.
  • Strong portfolio of completed design projects.
  • Expertise in Figma or other standard UX software such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD and the like.
  • Experience creating or applying visual design and familiarity with tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Basic HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and systems architecture skills are a plus.
  • Experience in applying UX design best practices.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as handling multiple projects at the same time.
  • You take your work seriously but not yourself: You are easy to get along with, work well as part of a team, choose outcomes over ego, and take and provide constructive criticism to achieve the best results.
  • You take a pragmatic, iterative approach to your work and enjoy solving problems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
