Responsibilities




  • As User Experience Lead you will be creating workflow diagrams, wireframes, and screen designs for enterprise applications

  • Designing applications for different platforms; mobile, tablet and desktop

  • Creating simple prototypes with tools like Axure, InVision, etc.

  • Ensuring all designs are built on a foundation of solid usability and intuitive design principles

  • Leading design review meetings, as well as onsite project kickoff meetings with clients

  • Meeting the client’s design expectations, while being sensitive to how their needs may impact the development timeline, etc.

  • Working closely with development team to ensure designs are fully implementable


Qualifications



Experience


  • Experience as an interactive designer, user experience designer, information architect and/or interactive architect

  • Practiced in client communication and design consulting

  • Deep understanding of where industry interaction design is currently at and where it’s heading

  • Experience with activities and deliverables associated with user-centered design, software development lifecycle and functional requirements gathering

  • Proven experience with user interface design processes and methodologies, particularly as applied to web-based applications

  • 5+ years of designing applications for various platforms such as web, desktop, tablet, mobile, kiosk, etc.

  • 2+ years of leading the design effort for projects with little or no oversight

     


Requirements


  • Strong skills in usability, information architecture, aesthetic design and consulting

  • Expert in using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and similar industry level design applications

  • Good attitude! (Prima Donnas aren’t a good fit for our culture)

  • Must be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision

  • Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based applications

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; must be able to function as a thought leader, as well as an individual contributor

  • Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities

  • Portfolio of work required. Include examples of interaction design (user flows, wireframes, final screen designs)

     


Additional Information



Bonus Skills

  • Motion graphics experience a plus

  • Front-End development such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills a plus
