Republic Tube, LLC is now accepting resumes for an Upsetter Inspector to work within our Manufacturing Facility.

Job purpose

• The Upsetter Inspector will visually inspect the product on the outside diameter (OD) and internal diameter (ID) to ensure there are no wrinkles, dents, punch scores, etc. After the visual inspection, the pipe is then hot drift inspected and grinded.

Upsetter Inspector Requirements:

• 1-2 years of previous Upsetter Inspector experience on tubing pipe


• Previously worked in a Heat Treat/Hot environment


• Previous experience measuring Upset dimensions


• Previous experience performing visual inspection on all tubing Upset ends


• Previous experience operating a grinder (replace worn grinding and/or cup wheel as required)


• Performing hot and cold drifting


• Operates over head crane and use of forklift.


• Ability to work in a fast paced and high-speed environment


• Must demonstrate Safe Working Habits


• Must be able to work fluctuating work schedules and extended work hours when required by workload, including weekends.


• Effectively and safely operate a variety of assigned tools and equipment


• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds


• Team Player attitude


• Ability to pass Background, Physical and Drug Screening process
