Job Description:

Provides advice and guidance to systems administrators regarding all facets of information systems (e.g., systems integration). Works with IT staff, CIO and IT Managers to deploy and configure cloud architecture (i.e., implement workloads and security, create and deploy applications, implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, secure data, cloud storage strategies). Assists with analysis of the solution design's business case. Evaluates information systems needs of agency and researches most difficult or complex information system problems (e.g., design for identity, security and deployment; design a data platform solution, business continuity strategy, infrastructure strategy, migration, and integration). Meets with users to discuss projects and/or problems. Coordinates special projects and studies for information systems managers and writes reports of findings. Evaluates, analyzes and designs complex and/or interagency implementation involving heterogenous platforms, protocols and/or network operating systems (e.g., SOCC and cloud platforms).

Mandatory skills

10+ years of IT Architecture (Application, Infrastructure, etc.)

4+ years of Azure Environment Architecture

* Experience with Azure Environment (Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Network Security groups, App Service Environments, SQL Databases)

* Experience designing and implementing an infrastructure strategy

* Experience designing a business continuity/disaster recovery strategy

* Experience designing and implementing an identity and security strategy

* Experience implementing authentication and securing data

12+ years of development, 4+ years of Azure solution architecture

Preferred Education: 4-year college

Job Description: As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for guiding a team of developers in implementing and migrating Azure Cloud solutions. You will also collaborate with developers to estimate the effort needed for IT projects and provide technical expertise and direction on complex IT issues. You will ensure that the IT standards are followed and updated as needed. You will also work with the application security team to review the application security scans11. You will also create and review the architecture and technical design documents for the IT projects.
