Job Title: Health Data Specialist

Duration: 3 months

Dress Code - Business Casual

Location - 180 Boyden Ave Maplewood, NJ 07040

Complete Description:

Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience :-

  • Software systems implementation experience with EMR implementation required
  • Experience with system setup, systems administration, and data analysis.

  • Experience with managing interfaces with the HRIS, external vendors, etc.

  • Expert in data analysis and report writing.

  • Understanding of medical terminology.

  • EMR systems administration skills

  • Experience with managing interfaces

  • Excellent data analysis and report writing skills

  • Ability to work with a diverse team, and collaborate with others cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and medical terminology

  • Familiar with HIPAA compliance laws & Demonstrated problem solving skills

Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, IT, Human Resources, or related field, and at least five (5) years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing a medical records system in a mid-sized or a large organization.
  • Exceptional data analysis and report writing skills required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as SME in the development and implementation of an Occupational Health Software solution with an EMR for the organization.
  • Administer EMR in compliance with quality assurance regulations relating to occupational health.

  • Assist NJ TRANSIT with EMR rollout, including conducting and managing internal training on the EMR for employees in HR/Medical Services.

  • Manage data interfaces internally within the organization and with external vendors.

  • Works with vendor regarding systems upgrades and enhancements.

  • Provide the organization with data analysis and make recommendations for improvement of medical records and medical systems.

  • Evaluate outcomes, aggregate relevant data, analyze trends, and report relevant findings to agency leadership.

  • Support medical records and data analysis functions for the organization

  • Utilizes system knowledge to improve clinical workflow

Behavior Characteristics:
