Role: Network Engineer
Location: St.Paul, MN - 55117
Duration: 12+ months on W2 (Possibility of contract extension)
Shift Timing: 9 am to 5 pm
Job Description:
- Onsite Preferred, but also open to 100% remote for the right candidate.
Looking For:
- Support Subject Matter Expert WAF (Web Application Firewall) and IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems) platform services.
- WAF and IPF support; Tier 2 role- Platform Engineer.
- Supporting business users on requirements.
- Front-facing customer role in a medical device organization.
- WAF+PKI (Public Key Infrastructure Support) experienced candidates will have a big advantage and have first priority over the rest of the pool; SME knowledge on PKI.
- Strong communication skills.
- Technical documentation writing.
- Attention to detail.
- JIRA, Confluence, Splunk, Solarwinds, and Devops experience will be a plus. This is not a role related to any of these skill sets, but having any of them will be a big plus and may be used in some places.
- Vivio experience will be a plus.
- Any background is fine (WAF technical exp is required regardless of industry).
- Basic F5 knowledge.
Education and Experience:
- 4 year's Degree is required for this role (computer science, networking, or related IT field)
- 2+ years of experience required (WAF/IPS+PKI experience)
Top Skills:
- Strong WAF experience
- PKI Experience (even if it is just one year)
- Strong Communication skills
