Title: Senior/Lead SharePoint Architect/Developer

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: long term Contract

Hybrid, but candidate must be relocate to Columbus OH

Senior/lead SharePoint Architect/developer position and is responsible for the administration, coordination, direction, implementation, completion, and execution of all SharePoint based Solutions. Role also includes collaborating with internal stakeholders and team members to build solutions that support business requirements and processes for continuous improvement. This position functions as a member of the Medicaid ITS Team, reports to the ITS Manager, and works with ITS Development teams.

Responsibilities

Provide overall direction, guidance, definition, and facilitation for the advancement of development initiatives to meet business strategies and goals.

Work with business teams to understand their processes and translate their needs into actionable requirements for design & development.

Involved in all aspects of the Project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and post-production solution or user support.

Work with Architect, providing overall direction, guidance, definition, and facilitation for the advancement of SharePoint based Solution architecture required to meet business strategies and goals for the associated enterprise system.

Works with Architect in establishing the best practices and standardization of SharePoint solution design and development processes.

Identify major system interfaces, business capabilities, existing solution and/or architecture weaknesses, and opportunities for systems within the State of Ohio Medicaid enterprise.

Must be able to work independently using Oracle and MS SQL server developer tool suite.

Understand business requirements very clearly then translate and use complex data sources that needs to be blended and joined to delivery efficient and quality solutions.

Follow industry standard techniques and efficient approaches to build applications to connect with disparate data sources.

Produces SharePoint solution documentation and provides user training when needed.

Maintains and provides enhancements to the existing SharePoint solutions and sites.

Conduct demonstrations to internal and external Medicaid stakeholders.

Mentors and trains State Developer resources.

Day-to-day:

Act as a lead architect/developer to design, develop, document and guide both ODM internal ITS staff and business stakeholders.

Involved in all aspects of application life cycle from initial kickoff thru requirements analysis, design, development, testing, documentation, and implementation/deployment of high-quality business solutions using SharePoint framework, Microsoft .NET frameworks & associated technologies.

Design, document, and build API's/Web Services to automate & integrate with existing on-premise & cloud-based applications.

Works independently with different database technologies (Oracle, MS SQL Server), integrate applications with 3rd party analytical/reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI.

Monitors the performance of applications/servers, performs routine health checks to ensure high availability and that solutions are operational.

Migrate/re-platform existing SharePoint applications from on-premise to cloud environments.

Work with MuleSoft architect to convert existing/custom API's to the MuleSoft Anypoint platform.

Facilitate the advancement of system development initiatives to meet strategic business objectives and operational goals.

Prototype solutions and conduct demonstrations with internal and external Medicaid stakeholders.

Collaborate with leadership and business stakeholders, recommend software solutions/tools and approaches to improve operational efficiencies, enhance the customer experience.

Serves as the SharePoint SME, promotes/ensures the adoption and adherence to solution best-practices.

Conducts and/or participates in solution design reviews to verify quality standards and functional/technical requirements.

Implements all aspects of application development coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, documentation, and testing.

Diagnose system defects and trace problematic process/system/solution behavior to root cause, origin source code.

Use documented best practices to ensure solutions are developed in a consistent manner that will allow for portability and high scalability.

Create solution Job-Aids/How-To Guides, and mentors/trains State staff.

Work with vendors & service providers, tuning and optimizing performance, improving system reliability.

REQUIRED Skill Sets:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field

More than 15 years of experience in Information systems in Analysis, Design & Development

More than 14 years of experience with SharePoint Framework, including SharePoint 2010, 2013, SharePoint Online, and SharePoint 2019 On Premise.

More than 14 years of experience with .NET Frameworks including Microsoft C#.NET Framework.

Must have 14 years of developer experience using modern web development technologies like Java Script, jQuery, Bootstrap and front-end development frameworks like Vue.js, Knockout, Angular, React.

Development experience using Typescript, Node.js, Gulp, Webpack tools is also desired.

Must have 14 years of experience using / integrating relational databases like MS SQL Server/Oracle using object relational mapping techniques, writing queries & stored procedures.

Must have 10 or more years of experience with Microsoft Infopath, SharePoint Designer, ShareGate.

Must have 10+ years of experience leading and coordinating development teams.

Must have 5+ years of experience delivering service-oriented architecture solutions by integrating applications and services using WSDL, Schema, SOAP/REST methods.

Experience integrating SharePoint applications with Tableau, PowerBI tools.

Required 10+ years of experience prototyping, designing mockups and presentations to stakeholders, defining and documenting development coding standards and guidelines.

Must have 5 or more years of experience using Power Apps, Power Automate, Nintex or related workflow technologies.

Required 10+ years of experience with Microsoft TFS and Application Configuration.

Required 8+ years of experience with SCRUM/Agile Development practices.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills, effectively communicates with both technical and business audiences.

Required ability to propose, document, and implement software project lifecycle solutions (software and documentation).

Knowledge of MuleSoft Anypoint platform is desired.

Knowledge of Medicaid is desired, but not required.

Microsoft Developer, SharePoint Certifications are preferred.
