Job Title: Program Support Specialist

Duration : 3 months

Location - Trenton, NJ 08625 (Most of work will be done remotely or travel to sites)

Parking - Parking lot adjacent to building.

Work Hours - 8:30AM 4:30PM or 9:00AM to 5PM (must be flexible)

Complete Description:

Lunch - Employees can take 60 min lunch at their discretion

Equipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s): Laptops

Computer software to be used: Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Interview Mode: Virtual

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Understand the core components of PDGB-5 Initiatives
  • Establish positive working relationships with NJDOL Office of Apprenticeship, NJDOL Employment Services, maternal-child health (MCH), early childhood (EC) & other cross sector partners across the state, regional and local levels to support collaboration & coordination within NJ's EC Systems.
  • Assist PDGB-5 Project Manager with implementation of program activities, which include ongoing communication to key MCH, EI and EC partners that supports collaboration and partnership building.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of the child care apprenticeship pilot with NJDOL contracted partner.
  • Assist in planning, preparation and follow-up of key meetings including IPG Leadership Team and child care apprenticeship meetings; having standing agenda items on / Infant-Child Health Committee (ICHC) of the NJ Council for Young Children and other related workgroups/meetings.
  • Develop minutes and maintain records of PDGB-5 (Leadership and Administrative team) meetings.
  • Assist with planning & preparation for site visits to PDGB-5 initiatives, provide advice/input to facilitate local implementation of universal home visiting model , stakeholder coordination & parent involvement.
  • Participate in related assigned committees, and other state/local meetings, as needed.
  • Update and maintain stakeholder lists and contacts; assist with data collection and quarterly reports.
  • Participate in other related meetings/activities that support EC systems integration.
  • Assist in the process of identifying/implementing data systems for collecting/reporting PDGB-5 process & outcome indicators.
  • Participate in PDGB-5 virtual sessions, attend grantee annual meeting and onsite learning collaboratives, as needed.
  • Assist with promotion of program activities and statewide marketing of the initiative and related activities.
  • Track budget/program expenses consult with Workforce Development administrator/project director, as needed.
  • Assist with data collection and tracking for quarterly annual reports that will impact data-driven policy development for NJ.
  • Ensure standard data collection procedures, documentation, and other critical elements.
