Title: Enterprise Oracle DBA

Location: Columbus, OH-onsite

Duration: long term Contract

Initiallt this is complete onsite for few weeks/months and then transition to hybrid.

For the STARS application database the resource will be responsible for

Critical production support for the STARS application

Assist in the database administration tasks

Assist the Application development team with the database requests

Participate in the Disaster Recovery process

Assist the DBAs and the programmer with the database upgrades, security patches, performance issues.

Address the compliance issues raised by the IRS related to the database access, security and configuration

Support day to day production operation including troubleshooting the issues with performance, software bugs.

Setting up alerts for the system thresholds for the database.

Create metrics for the system performance.

Mandatory Requirements (Including Certifications, years performing (link removed) )

This position needs the following Oracle DBA skillset

10+ years of enterprise Oracle DBA experience

Excellent database modeling, database tuning, SQL query tuning, and PL/SQL coding skills

Senior level experience with hands-on Oracle 12c/19c on AIX/Linux platforms.

Strong experience with Oracle Security and Auditing

Strong Experience with Oracle advanced features such as Multitenant, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN (backup/data recovery), Oracle Advanced Compression, Oracle Advanced Security Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Oracle Key Vault

Experience with Oracle-specific tools and technologies such as Data Guard RMAN, OEM, and other enterprise DB options

Experience in working with OLTP and Data Warehouse systems.

Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.

Experience working in a 24x7 production environment

Desired Requirements

Experience with Peoplesoft is a plus

Experience in working with source control & change management, hands on experience on working with GIT, ansible or similar tools.

Experience with MS SQL server database administration is a plus
