Note: client need robot cell and special machines controls engineer who has worked with suppliers and run programs.
JOB DETAIL
Take leadership of controls and pneumatics portion of project.
Work with controls suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
Review controls designs, pneumatic designs, and BOM for completeness and workability.
Provide on-site support to controls suppliers, machine builds, debug, and testing qualification of equipment.
Coordinate purchasing and cross referencing components to ensure a timely completion to support project timelines.
Draft qualification protocols, and manage equipment qualification activities.
Attend customer meetings at all levels of discussion, getting customer inputs and presenting controls solutions as required.
Interface with customers, suppliers, and functional owners to coordinate project activities and disseminate project issues and information.
Provide ongoing support to internal team, customers, and suppliers for efficient turn around of project variables.
BS in electrical engineering or 10 years of controls and pneumatic design experience.
5 to 7 years experience in designing controls and pneumatic schematics, and drawings with a degree.
10 years of experience minimum without a degree or equivalent experience.
Industrial engineering experience with robotic cells and automation.
Experience in designing and programming Allen Bradley PLC's from scratch.
Modifying existing PLC programs and routines.
Knowledge and experience with robots, vision systems, material handling, conveyors, PLC, HMI, pick & place operations, EOAT, sensors and switches. This list is not all inclusive.
Minimum 5 years minimum of new design, programming, and debugging Allen Bradley and Beckhoff controls, PLC's, and pneumatics with a degree.
