JOB DETAIL

Engineering Project Lead

Role Summary The Engineering Project Lead demonstrates leadership in communicating, Design Reviews, Concept Development, Issue Resolution, and facilitate equipment upgrades. Supports daily activities in design developments, current product validation activities, and change management. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop & execute objectives, & have the ability to meet company objectives within the time lines specifically related to your assigned projects.

Essential Responsibilities

Insures direct communication between the cross-functional team members and their associated counterparts within the customer and internal organizations.

Focus on the tactical execution of day-to-day engineering activities.

Responsible for tracking relevant metrics and drive action items based on results.

Help coordinate issue resolutions and implement interim and permanent corrective actions.

Develope program proposal's to determine time frame, requirements, procedures for accomplishing program execution.

Establishes work plan for each phase of the Design Review Process.

Update risk assessment initiatives aligned to AIAG FMEA guidelines.

Help develope standard operating procedures where required.

Update quality assurance initiatives aligned to AIAG Control Plan guidelines.

Help manage the coordination of product life cycle activities with P&L and customer satisfaction and have various complexities.

Primary communication source between factory and external contacts, and act as an escalation in customer issues.

Supports process optimization initiatives.

Monitor manufacturing objectives and ensure deliverables are met.

Review of Key Operating Indicators (KOI) and provide operations with solution adjustments outside of margin target.

Facilitates assigned equipment repairs and upgrades.

Manages Project Builds and Qualifications.

Qualifications/Requirements B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, Production or Manufacturing Operations setting.

Experience with AIAG, and ISO 9001 Standards

Ability to support the development and execution of Continues improvement initiatives.

Can coordinate, prepare, and help execute DOE's per the Matrix output.

Has practical knowledge in CNC Machining, Welding Processes, and Quality Control.

Undertands GD&T, Gauge Development, Mechanical Enginering Principles,

3D modeling proficiency. CAD, CREO, Solid Works.

Has experience in New Product Implementation in various industries.

Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills

Capability to work in teams

Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.

Ability to program CNC machines

Automation Controls Knowledge.
