We are hiring a Vice President, Controller for a small, public biotech testing company located in Acton, MA. As Vice President, you will report directly to the CEO and be allowed the flexibility to have ownership of your day to day. As a leader within the organization, you will have about 6 people on your team to support you in your primary duties of tracking business financials and public reporting.

This role is a perfect fit for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career and looking for a position with upward mobility and longevity. We envision this role growing into a CFO. Ideally, we are looking for someone that has worked with public companies within the finance department or as an auditor. We are not looking for someone to do investor or bank relations, but rather focus on the management of business financials and public reporting. Compensation

• $150,000 - $185,000 DOE


• Excellent medical with and 85% contribution to employee premiums

Requirements

• CPA


• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance


• 5-10 years of financial experience to include:
  
  
  
  • Auditing experience
  
  
  • Experience supporting a public company
  
  
  • Proficiency with accounting software
  
  
  • Experience with modeling and producing detailed monthly financial reports
  
  
  • Cash flow estimates 
  
  
  
  


• Must be local to the Acton, MA area


• Experience closing books
