DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITY

IT department at our Financial Instituion client provides versatile and comprehensive IT services to external clients and internal users. It supports the infrastructure and applications requirements of all users at the Company, with heightened attention to the fixed income and equity processing and reporting platforms.

• Deploy IT infrastructure and applications in line with Firm's strategy.
• Work out technical solutions in wake of the evolving business and management requirements.
• Keep IT system (hardware, software, network, etc.) running at a high availability.
• Facilitate electronic storage systems to store Firm's valuable records and digital assets.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of business continuity plans/disaster recovery plan.
• Provide helpdesk and technical support by either phone, remote access, or site visits.
• Maintain telecommunication/IP phone system to provide voice services.
• Implement cyber security measures to protect organizational digital assets from both external and internal threats.
• Develop IT policies, procedures and standards to improve IT management level.
• Identify and assess the IT risks constantly, and introduce action plans to mitigate IT risks if necessary.
• Manage and control IT resources in an effective and efficient manner.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee IT infrastructure functions.
• Administer network, servers, storage, phone system, operating system and middleware in line with availability targets;
• Work out data backups plan in line with regulatory requirements and policy & procedures;
• Maintenance of disaster recovery site and business continuity plans;
• Ensure the integrity of the network and performance tuning;
• Ensure system optimization for all technology resources;
• Provide helpdesk and technical support either by phone, remote access, or site visits;
• Manage security systems, such as firewalls, data protection controls, patching, encryption, vulnerability scanning, pen testing, and so on. Oversees the proper deployment, configuration, and functioning of these systems.
• Standards procedures: Ensure that standards and procedures are in place for IT inline with regulatory requirements and best practice. This includes establishing, writing, and distributing governance and enforcing the governance that is already in place.
• Ensure that IT related regulatory issues are addressed and/or implemented timely from a system perspective.
• Ensure the infrastructure projects to be met and implemented in a timely manner

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Background of managing server technologies and the server team. This normally includes:
• Operating systems
• Physical and virtual servers
• Storage and backups
• Disaster recovery
• Background of managing the staff and equipment that handles switching, routing, and in some cases perimeter devices (firewalls).
• Experience in the area of Cybersecurity of protecting critical computer systems and the sensitive information they contain from cyberattacks. Background of implement and deploying security technologies, processes, and procedures to protect from damage and unauthorized data access perpetrated by cybercriminals or malicious insiders.
• Familiar with industrial compliance and regulatory requirements
• Series certification in any of FINRA's Operations Professional category
