The SSCI Products Division is seeking a Director of Business Development (DBD) to identify, qualify and capture an opportunity pipeline for SSCIs technologies and products. The DBD would be a member of the Products Division Leadership Team (PDLT), reporting to the Sr. VP of Products Division. The DBD would actively engage with customers (primarily USAF at first), participate in Government Industry Days, analyze budgets and attend tradeshows to gather information on upcoming programs, funding and government priorities. It would the DBDs responsibility to synthesize the information and to present to the PDLT a succinct summary of the opportunities over the next 1-5 years. Additionally, the DBD would work with the PLT to inform IRAD investments, recommend partnerships to increase probabilities of win and to grow the Business Development team as the division and company grow.

Requirements

• 5+ years business development experience in the Defense Industry.
• Knowledge and experience with the DFAR/FAR
• Bachelors degree in business or marketing
• Experience with capture of large DOD programs
• Frequent travel
• Excellent communication skills; ability to summarize information at an executive level
