Job Summary

The role of Area Sales Manager (ASM) is to promote Key Mortgage Services, Inc (KMS) through recruiting, sales management, coaching and training of our sales team. As a leader at KMS, this position develops and inspires their team to maximize their potential. The ASM is responsible for the overall growth and performance of their sales teams, ensuring great client service is provided, driving the sales culture, achieving overall sales growth goals for KMS and ensuring their teams meet or exceed established Loan Originator minimum standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proven strength in recruiting Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) who are committed to the highest level of loan origination.
  • Ability to develop, guide and lead individuals to maximize their individual production capabilities while adhering to the overall strategic initiatives of KMS.
  • Assist in establishing and upholding performance measures and production goals.
  • Create a positive atmosphere that encourages productivity and teamwork within the sales teams and promotes positivity throughout the organization.
  • Partner with the Operations Team to drive an exceptional client experience, including meeting both time and quality metrics expectations.
  • Works closely with all departments to lead, communicate and execute necessary process enhancements, new initiatives, and internal and external changes.
  • Develop a leadership presence and strong relationships within the market area served, both internally with Baird & Warner management, driving captured mortgage loans, but also externally with other brokerages to increase closed loan volume for their team.
  • Work with sales leadership to recognize and implement additional training opportunities, including sales coaching to enhance the skill level of MLOs and sales staff.
  • Have an always be recruiting attitude, consistently meeting with qualified MLO recruits that meet Key Mortgage minimum standards.
  • Uphold the standards of Key Mortgage by performing the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Provide subject matter expertise, recommendations and advice to all departments at KMS, including marketing, training, compliance, partnership development and more.
  • Maintain industry knowledge by attending market events, trainings, recruiting meetings on a regular basis.
  • Support the coordination and execution of a variety of critical activities related to the sales teams including executive reporting and business planning.
  • Train and coach on technology solutions to MLO challenges in using our LOS, POS, CRM, etc.
  • Monitor and promote monthly team meetings, events and activities to assure proper attendance and engagement at all B&W partner sales meetings and events, working closely with the Director of Partner Relationships to achieve mortgage capture goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in mortgage banking leading, recruiting and developing mortgage sales teams.
  • Bachelors degree or extensive relevant experience is required.
