JOB TITLE: Validation Engineer
LOCATION: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Main core requirement is for WLAN (Network related) at client
IP protocols: IPv4/IPv6, GRE, L2-L4 QoS, multicast, VPN
WAN access: A/VDSL, DOCSIS, G/EPON, 10G-PON, 4G/LTE/5G
Voice: SIP, MGCP/NCS, PacketCable
LAN wireline: Ethernet, MoCA, G.hn, PLC
LAN wireless: WiFi, Mesh, Zigbee, Bluetooth
WiFi: 802.11, WFA standards
Device management: TR069/TR181, SNMP
Video: IPTV, Cable TV, STB/PVR, OTT, 4K/HVEC
Virtualization for Broadband/Telecom services, IoT, Home Automation
o Minimum 5+ years' experience in validation of network devices.
o Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science. A master's degree is a plus.
o Deep understanding of TCP/IP(v4, v6) networks and related protocols
o Hands-on experience one or more of the following technologies :
o IP protocols: IPv4/IPv6, GRE, L2-L4 QoS, multicast, VPN
o WAN access: A/VDSL, DOCSIS, G/EPON, 10G-PON, 4G/LTE/5G
o Voice: SIP, MGCP/NCS, PacketCable

o WiFi: 802.11, WFA standards
o Device management: TR069/TR181, SNMP

Responsibilities Include:
o Build system validation (QA) plan and test cases
o Specify, configure and maintain the test network
o Identify, configure and operate test tools (CDRouter, Spirent smartbit, Abacus, ACS, Veriwave, Chariot, iperf, )
o Execute the test plan, report issue to the development team, verify fixes. Formalize test reports.
o Build maturity metrics
o Reproduce issues reported by our customers
o Support the customers for any issues raised (local and remote investigation)
o Analyze issues and identify root causes
