Position: Veeva Systems Analyst

Long Island City, NY

Work in conjunction with Regulatory and internal departments to support Veeva Vault and RegulatoryOne.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall configuration, design, and functionality of the Veeva Vault functions as it relates to customized SDK code in Java and IT Admin updates in the configuration.
  • Responsible for the overall configuration, design, and functionality of the Veeva Vault functions. Support and test all new Veeva product updates and releases as it relates to the ELC implementation. Make necessary changes to custom SDK code for new releases.
  • Work directly with the Support teams to bring open Help Desk issues to a resolution by triage and monitoring progress. Provide Levels 3 support.
  • Veeva report building to export and support offline Excel tools and spreadsheets, with extensive formulas, macros and template versions.
  • Work with Regulatory Stakeholders to understand business needs and provide effective, efficient requirements for Veeva Vault.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation around application development, dashboards, reports, and any other functional areas as required.
    • Lead System Administrator for user admin, security, configuration changes, business rule changes and data migration
    • Configure and maintain functional objects of Veeva Vault
    • Create and manage lifecycles, workflows, SDK Triggers, and object configuration
    • Create and maintain reports and dashboards
    • Customize Veeva fields, page layouts, object types, searching, list views, etc.
    • Create and maintain system interface diagrams, functional designs, and technical specifications
    • Participate in the Agile development process

Requirements:

  • 3+ years RegulatoryOne or RIM or Veeva Vault experience
  • (link removed) experience a plus'
  • Experience customizing RIM, RegulatoryOne or Veeva Vault in the SDK using Java toolkit
  • 1 year IT Admin role using Veeva application suite
  • Veeva Vault Certified a plus
  • 10 years of experience preferred mostly in product lifecycle management
  • 10 years of experience with Software Development Lifecycle (agile and waterfall)
  • 5 years of experience in object-oriented development
  • Technical proficiency with Office 365
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • B.A./B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the organization

Project skills:

  • Be responsible to enhance business satisfaction, IT operation efficiency, and bring transparency to business/technology leadership
  • Develop IT system's roadmap and support implementation plan.
  • Cooperate with business leadership and front-line managers to develop business IT plans that can reduce costs and increase efficiency; regularly evaluate these plans for gaps and opportunities.
  • Develop improvements to availability, scalability, and performance of the environment including implementation of monitoring tools.
  • Take ownership of problems and provide strategic recommendations based on expertise to support, troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize system
  • Evaluate, design, implement, facilitate and support systems to ensure seamless operation of PLM systems with downstream and upstream modules for CAD, manufacture, shipments and compliance
  • Work closely with R&D Leadership to effectively prioritize roadmap and customer success product, identify and mitigate risk, and deliver against our commitments
  • Develop a compelling contemporary IT- strategy vision for R&D
  • Lead functional workshops, Creating a roadmap for the PLM/PDM/PPM portfolio
  • Manage Program scope, align with overall business priorities and total business requirements in R&D
  • Anticipates and addresses obstacles or issues that are moderate to significant in severity and escalates complex issues to management for assistance
  • Utilizes multiple methods depending on the situation to lead teams through difficult situations to conduct root cause analyses and apply logical corrective action paths
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of development processes and product launch scope and activities. Uses experience and knowledge to identify, recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Represents the project within the Executive Steering Committee and Liaisons with Executive Management
  • Problem solving and storytelling skillset by using logical analysis, visual models, and user story mapping technique to clarify complex concepts
