Hudson Veterinary Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Ossining, NY. We are a well-established, progressive veterinary hospital providing high-quality care to pets in our community. Our hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and therapeutic tools to provide exceptional medical care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in medical procedures including anesthesia, surgical prep, radiology, and dental procedures
- Monitor patients during surgical procedures and recovery
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by veterinarians
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges
- Provide compassionate care to pets and their owners
Requirements
- Must have previous experience working in a veterinary hospital as a technician or assistant
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
