Companion Veterinary Hospital of Wayne is looking for an Experienced Veterinary Technician who enjoys working with companion animals to join our team! Full time and part time positions available. About our clinic:Companion Veterinary Hospital of Wayne is a full-service small animal hospital, offering thegold standardin medical and surgical care. We believe healthy pets make happy people, and we strive to provide high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs in the Wayne area.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting veterinarian with office appointments
- Taking patient history & giving discharge and medicine instructions
- Proper animal restraint
- Performing treatments
- Administering medications by IV, IM, or SQ injections
- Diagnostic testing, preparing samples for laboratory testing
- Performing in hospital lab tests
- Filling prescriptions
- Venipuncture/ IV catheter placement
- Taking digital radiographs
- Assisting veterinarian with surgical and dental procedures
- Surgical prep
- Wrapping surgical packs efficiently
- Using an autoclave to sterilize instruments
- Monitoring anesthesia
- Pre & post-surgical care
- Using a computer to enter medical notes and charges

Salary: Commensurate with experience, Eligible for a $5,000 Sign on Bonus.
