Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is currently seeking a talented Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in Florida.

As a member of our family-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced and specialized veterinary services to our clients and referring veterinarians in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting our veterinarians during procedures, managing medical records, preparing and administering medications, and educating clients on pet care. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in procedures and surgeries.
• Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Collect and record patient medical data, including histories, lab results, and treatment plans.
• Educate clients about pet care, medication administration, and post-operative care.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, and report observations to the veterinarian.
• Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams.
• Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our hospital.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or Veterinary Science.
• Active certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Florida and/or South Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Physical ability to lift and restrain animals, stand for long periods of time, and work in potentially hazardous conditions.
