Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is currently seeking a talented Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in Florida.

As a member of our family-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced and specialized veterinary services to our clients and referring veterinarians in a fast-paced and challenging environment. At Fetch, we strongly believe in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal. Your responsibilities will include assisting our veterinarians during procedures, managing medical records, preparing and administering medications, and educating clients on pet care. Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians in procedures and surgeries.
  • Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed.
  • Collect and record patient medical data, including histories, lab results, and treatment plans.
  • Educate clients about pet care, medication administration, and post-operative care.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, and report observations to the veterinarian.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams.
  • Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our hospital.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or Veterinary Science.
  • Active certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Florida and/or South Carolina.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and restrain animals, stand for long periods of time, and work in potentially hazardous conditions.
