We are looking for a full-time VP, Global Controller in the United States who is self-motivated, tech savvy, detail-oriented, a quick learner, a problem solver, an analytical thinker, and able to take ownership of reporting processes and issues for the company. The Global Controller will manage the world-wide accounting functions of the company, and will interface with executives, managers and employees throughout the organization.


What will I be doing?

  • Overseeing the correct and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, footnotes, management discussion and analysis, and related information
  • Preparing and distributing financial reports for management and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for the management of the Companys annual financial audit and tax compliance, which will require close coordination with outside CPA firms.
  • Identifying, documenting, and implementing accounting guidance applicable to the company
  • Researching and understanding technical, complex, or unusual accounting issues
  • Standardizing, documenting and improving accounting-related processes and internal controls across the organization to be ready for public filing
  • Ensuring compliance with lender and regulatory agencies
  • Assisting the CFO and Vice President of Corporate Finance with other tasks and projects as required

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with 5+ years in public practice
  • CPA license
  • Masters of Accountancy or MBA from accredited university
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) in the U.S. and UK
  • Experience preparing SEC filings, consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and management discussion and analysis
  • Solid knowledge of accounting processes and internal controls
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and G Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintain sensitive information confidential
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Graduate degree in accounting or business
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Public accounting with audit background
  • Previous management experience
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience in payroll, budgeting, and forecasting
