Position: Investment Banking Vice President

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)

The Vice President Investment Banking will lead the execution of M&A Advisory transactions. As a Vice President you will have the opportunity to work closely with Managing Directors and interact directly with clients to develop key analytical, communication, and sales skills. The Vice President leads all aspects of the transaction process, including industry and company research, creating and analyzing financial models, due diligence, deal materials preparation, and deal marketing. The individual in this role will be actively involved in the management/development of junior professionals as well. Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in an environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of transaction process, including industry and company research, creating and analyzing financial models, due diligence, deal materials preparation, and deal marketing
  • Develop, maintain, and manage positive client relationships through travel, regular presentations, and timely communication
  • Leverage and coordinate industry knowledge and expertise to ensure exceptional service for clients
  • Participate in the management and development of junior investment banking professionals
  • Oversee the preparation of confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing materials, pitch books and other presentations as needed
  • Perform extensive and in-depth industry research to support client and marketing engagements
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience in investment banking
  • Prior experience with leading M&A transactions for middle-market companies
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting (Masters/MBA highly preferred)
  • Strong client interaction experience
  • Strong financial modeling, research, and financial analysis skills
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses required (or within 90 days of hire)
  • Ability to travel as needed
