Lay of the land

As a specialist market leader in the high-growth SaaS industry, Figureds technology integrates with Intuits Quickbooks Online and Xeros cloud accounting software to bring purpose built financial management capability to the cloud that enables a new level of agri-advisory services for their customers in the USA. Our strong value proposition for agri-accountants has laid the foundation for our success in this market. With a team of 4 based in Denver and a total of ~75 talented individuals across 4 markets, including New Zealand, Australia, North America, and the United Kingdom, we are poised for incredible growth.

Requirements

The Role

The VP of Sales plays a pivotal role in identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities aligned with our USA growth strategy. You will develop growth plans, lead the US-based team, and drive expansion through existing partnerships and new prospects. As a company we are committed to driving transformative change and have embraced the Challenger sales methodology and invested significantly in a partnership with Challenger Inc. to hone our skills to connect our value proposition with the market and guide our customers through their own change journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and executing the market strategy and objectives
  • Expanding existing opportunities in the market
  • Leading the local team to deliver on the market strategy
  • Establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with key partners
  • Developing the Figured footprint in the accounting and agricultural ecosystem
  • Being the voice of the market to align growth ambitions and product vision
  • Managing strategic deals and maintaining sales momentum
  • Collaborating closely with marketing for campaigns and new business acquisition
  • Working with customer experience teams for new customer enablement
  • Representing the market's needs to the product team
  • Conducting presentations and product demonstrations
  • Building relationships with key market partners, such as rural banking teams
  • Building a strong sales pipeline and assisting with team onboarding

What you bring to the table

  • A seasoned B2B tech sales experience in enterprise and mid-market solution sales
  • Expertise in qualifying sales opportunities and generating a strong pipeline
  • A proven track record of consistently in achieving sales targets and being a top performer
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Success in developing customers' businesses beyond making a sale
  • Resilience and patience in building relationships and guiding customers through their buying journey
  • Experience with the Challenger sales methodology beyond the theory
  • Autonomy and willingness to travel frequently (when safe to do so)
