About the role

The desired candidate will be an accomplished videographer and motion graphics designer with demonstrated skills and experience in short and long form video for brands. Areas of work will include but are not limited to: video capture and editing (including sound and lighting), motion graphics, animation, dialog/music editing, and interactive elements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and edit static and motion content and video for social media platforms
  • Help conceive, craft, and execute innovative ideas on time and on strategy
  • Develop best practice content/design techniques per social platform that can extend across traditional media
  • Partner with creative and acquisition teams to help contribute ideas during content brainstorm sessions
  • Maintain, organize, and archive our digital library of assets
  • Keep our content fresh by educating the team on social media video trends
  • Inspire and build with other creatives on the team
  • Ensure consistency in designs and content across all company platforms
  • Create storyboards from existing scripts and outlines for video content
  • Ensure all creative deliverables uphold our brand standards and strategy
  • Collaborate with editors and vendors as needed to resolve technical or design issues
  • Role reports to Creative Director

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing video and motion graphic communications in a corporate or agency environment for internal/external presentations. Be prepared to share sample work
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field from a university or an Accredited Art School; or AA in Graphic Design with relative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Illustrator required
  • Expertise in video editing software: Final Cut, Premier Pro, and After Effects
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a clean design aesthetic
  • A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects creatively, efficiently, and thoroughly in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Adaptable team player Ability to listen and handle constructive criticism and pivot creative as needed to accomplish project goals
