In search of a dynamic Virtual Music Instructor to serve our students.  Help students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include playing of instruments and listening and performs other duties directly related to this job description.

Qualifications:

• Must have a degree in music or enrolled in a music major.


• Must have at least 1 year of teaching experience.


• Experience with using Zoom/Skype.


• Must own a laptop/computer device and a secured internet connection. 


• Evidence of knowledge of music curriculum and the ability to implement it


• Evidence of ability to interact collaboratively with students, parents, and other teammates.


• Evidence of excellent oral and written skills.


• Have a flexible availability in order to serve our students.


• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: 

• Planning and preparing lessons in relation to individual student's needs


• Utilizing approved teaching materials and resources


• Teaching music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to students


• Motivating students and encouraging progress


• Liaising with academic staff and parents


• Assessing students abilities, providing feedback and writing reports


• Updating student records electronically 


• Assisting with advertising the music academy to recruit more students.
