What can you expect?


We are seeking a
WHS Consultant
, for a fantastic opportunity.

Broome one week, Esperance the next, working with LGIS, you will work as part of an existing team delivering a suite of services to our client base. These services may include education and awareness on WHS topics, conducting safety assessments and providing consultancy and advice on specific issues across physical and psychosocial risk.

In this unique role, we are seeking an experienced WHS candidate to join our WA team, based in West Leederville, dedicated to supporting LGIS members in the mitigation of WHS risk.

We will count on you to:

Work collaboratively with the existing team, to deliver on agreed services, to all local governments in WA.
Undertake on site assessments and prepare reports.
Work with LGIS members to Identify key risk areas and assist in the development of tailored solutions.
Engage and work with internal stakeholders to align our risk mitigation with indemnity protection.
Manage your own workload including frequent travel.
Work autonomously, all the while contributing to both a local and national team of risk specialists who share ideas and learn from each other.


What you need to have:

Qualifications in Workplace Safety Cert IV or above.
Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience within WHS.
Experience with advising on physical and psychosocial risk.
Analytic mindset, and ability to work with data.
Experience with document writing.
An ability and eagerness to work autonomously and manage projects.
A positive work attitude that fosters effective internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills.
A current driving license travel within WA is an essential part of this role.
Critical Incident Debrief and Mediation experience High Desirable.
