Duties:
- Reports to and receives direction from Production Unit Leads, Supervisor or Manager.
- Participates in ad hoc groups along with MSS division colleagues, vendors and clients on specific production-related tasks.
- May receive direction from senior members of unit.
Position Overview: (Major Functions and Non-Essential Functions):
- The Senior Production Designer works as part of a production unit within Mayo's Division of Media Support Services.
- Core responsibilities are centered around the creation and ongoing maintenance of visual materials that support a variety of business needs across the Enterprise.
- The Senior Production Designer's day is driven by production volumes in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- He/she will balance daily individual accountabilities with larger more complex or collaborative projects.
- Some work is highly templated and straightforward, while other work requires creative problem solving and ingenuity.
- Knowledge of downstream work processes and dependencies is critical, and ongoing input towards process improvement and production efficiencies is expected.
Skills: Incumbents must have strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and demonstrate strong technical production skills. Additional Experience and/or
Qualifications: (Has Achieved Competency in the Following Areas, Job Knowledge and Additional Considerations): Strong technical aptitude and design sensibilities. Attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through. Time management skills in a deadline-driven environment. Highly motivated with good communication skills and appreciation for teamwork/collaboration.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, web design, IT, visual communication or publishing/media-related field and a minimum of 2 years work experience in a production design/publishing related field.
Schedule Notes: Shift: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM but can be flexible.
Fully Remote Hours per week: 40 hrs.

Specific Skills: Designer with experience with Adobe Creative Suite as well as Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization and or illustration (not required but preferred).
