Scope

Spiegelworld is looking for a Wardrobe Daytime Stitcher/Laundry person to join its newest venture, THE HOOK at Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino. It is the primary responsibility of the daytime stitcher/laundry person to ensure all costumes are well maintained and show ready. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Spiegelworld policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Job Duties

• Laundry, cleaning, steaming, and pressing of costumes for the run of the show.
• Creating, maintaining, altering, and repairing costumes, accessories, and shoes for the successful operation of the production.
• Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of design for costumes.
• Attend special costume sessions or fittings when appropriate.
• Communicate as needed with the Wardrobe Supervisor to evaluate use and function of wardrobe to ensure a smooth and efficient tech process.
• Maintain expected levels of craftsmanship and artistic excellence.
• Performs all other job-related duties as requested.

• Active knowledge of sewing including but not limited to:

• Ability to be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality, including sudden loud noises and smoke from fog effects..
• Ability to tolerate exposure to chemicals, cleansers and solvents.
• High level of mobility. Including going up and down stairs.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal form
