Position Overview

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and organizing both inventory and non-inventory items. Primary duties include inventory management, warehouse logistics, and receiving.

Requirements

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check in and examine all inbound shipments and materials deliveries and compare with manifests, packing lists, invoices and purchase orders to verify accuracy
  • Identify any missing, lost or damaged materials and follow company process
  • Safely operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks, such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products
  • Perform timely and accurate transactions in NetSuite
  • Properly account for the location of all incoming goods
  • Pull all materials for daily production activity as required
  • Assist in preparing and palletizing outgoing freight orders
  • Conduct cycle counts and materials inventory as directed
  • Cross train to support shipping and production as needed
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels and control
  • Submit purchase requests as needed
  • Develop or improve inventory management procedures
  • Verify /perform a variety of other tasks related to receiving, storage, delivery, issue, and movement of material with minimal supervision
  • Willing to take on responsibilities above and beyond what is outlined above
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1-2 years previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing or production environment
  • Exceptional organizational and warehouse logistics skills
  • Work cooperatively and productively with other Team Members in order to complete tasks
  • Critical thinking skills and a continuous improvement attitude
  • Basic computer and math skills for order processing and inventory control
  • Ability to stand, climb and walk on a continual basis throughout shift. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • High School diploma or GED
