Qualifications:
Experience as a WebSphere Administrator
Experience with web-based applications, SOA (Services Oriented Architectures), and web application servers, e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere
Competency in relational database structures and SQL
Experience with process documentation and documentation tools, e.g., Visio
Experience with UNIX system administration and TCP / IP networking
Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, required from an accredited institution
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time
Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face
Travel may be required as per the job requirements

Responsibilities:
Provide deployment, administration, and operational support of production, staging, test, and development environments using WebSphere Application Server
Architect WebSphere cells, clusters, and nodes
Automate repetitive tasks through scripts
Configure and test production environments
Execute functions on the WebSphere application server
Develop firewalls and multi-tiered architectures
Architect, test, and initiate upgrades and patches
Support new application development professionals
Perform and initiate QA audits
Monitor application server performance and respond appropriately
Monitor systems capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide Tier 2 technical support
Modify and update technical documentation, create reports, and determine project requirements
