WebSphere Operations/Administration role
Location: Houston, TX
(Operations/Administration role):
Must have:
Minimum 6-8 years overall IT experience as Development or Middleware Engineer
Experience working with various middleware tools and technologies on a day-to-day basis.
Hands-on experience on cloud and/or cloud-native technologies.
Good understanding of Multi-tiered application architecture. With exposure to infrastructure concepts like DMZs, firewalls, etc.
Good understanding of Java-based applications from a development as well as troubleshooting standpoint.
Application Servers: Configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
o IBM WebSphere
o WebSphere Liberty
o Open Liberty
o Apache Tomcat
Webservers: Configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
o Oracle iPlanet
o IBM HTTP Server
o Apache HTTP Server
o Nginx
SSL/Certs :
o Good understanding of SSL and experience working with CA and Self signed certs.
o Experience working on CSR generation, renewals, configuring websites/apps/servers for SSL.
CICD tools:
o Jenkins
o Azure DevOps
o IBM UCD/UCR
Experience with scripting and automation.
Experience working with containers:
o Docker
o docker swarm/RedHat Openshift/Kubernetes
Unix/Linux :
o familiar with basic commands and utilities
o Writing/creating Bash/Shell scripts
Experience working with APM products and application/server performance tuning exercises.
Nice To Have:
Web development experience(with Java, react, angular, etc..)
Database Skills
o Oracle PL/SQL
o MS-SQL PL/SQL
Knowledge of enterprise content management platform like EMC Documentum, SDL Tridion
