Software Design Engineer 2   Turn 10 Studios, the Xbox Game Studios developer behind the critically acclaimed Forza franchise, is looking for a software engineer to help build and maintain the (link removed) web properties.    You will collaborate with members of the publishing, game services, esports and community teams to develop features and fix bugs critical to delivering an engaging, accessible web experience for our customers.    Candidates must have strong computer science fundamentals, and an ability to write organized, testable web code.    

Purpose of this team: This team focuses on the actual consumer social experiences such as the leader boards and auction boards. They work to create the social experiences that set these games apart in the industry and bring the gaming community together!   

Reason for this request: This team is experiencing an increased workload. As a result, they are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and add guidance/value from the start of the assignment.

Top 3 must-have hard skills:

• Web development experience. HTML5, CSS, HTML, Javascript. Modern web stack frameworks. (React, Angular)   


• Experience with service development (cloud, Azure) 


• Database experience. SQL. Webforums software 

Years of experience required:   3+ years of professional software development experience developing websites •  Excellent knowledge of web development frameworks (HTML5, JavaScript, Angular, React) • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices • Excellent communication skills across disciplines   

Degrees or certifications: While no degree is required, there is a preference for someone with a Computer Science, Data Science or Machine Learning degree.    

Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of professional software development experience developing websites  

Qualifications 

• Excellent knowledge of web development frameworks (HTML5, JavaScript, Angular, React) 


• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices 


• Excellent communication skills across disciplines

Typical task breakdown & rhythm: Forza website. This individual will not be doing active development. Minor bug fixes. Privacy issues. Bug issues. Need a web developer to take small tasks and own the website. Task based role.
