Welder (1st Shift)

Salary: $ 56,000.00 We have partnered with a large Manufacturing company in the Newnan, GA area to provide them with a Welder. (1st Shift) Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested. Responsibilities of the Welder: Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts. Builds up worn or defective surfaces. Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies to cut material to size and shape. Ability to work 50 + hours weekly, multiple shifts and weekends when necessary. Ability to work off shift. Performs other related duties as assigned. Performs well in a team environment and must be willing to cross train in other cells and maintain 6S lean practices. Conforms to all safety standards set forth by Chromalloy Georgia to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements of the Welder: - To perform all kinds of welding (TIG), brazing and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment. Certified to weld metal alloys (nickel, cobalt Aluminum and/or stainless steel). Demonstrates acceptable welding of any two specifications above. Must be able to certify to AWS D17.1:2001.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years of previous aero-space welding experience in Inco, Titanium and/or Aluminum.
- Weld per AWS D17.1:2001
- Near vision: Jaeger #2 (20/25) @ 16"
- Distant Vision: Snellen Fraction better than 20/30 @ 20'
