What Does a Service Technician Do?

• Responsible for providing quality service visits to inspect, repair and/or adjust windows and doors in the field
• Checks and adjusts all types of windows and doors
• Installs screens and replaces broken components (balances/hardware,etc)

• Troubleshoots issues to determine best approach for repair
• Loads and unloads materials at the warehouse or customers location
• Provides exceptional customer service by answering customer questions and explaining issues
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
• Supports a critical component of customer service by providing fast, friendly, safe and accurate service

• Diagnose and repair issues related to window/door operation
• Glass/reglazing windows and doors
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

What Does It Take to be Successful as a Service Technician?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience installing or repairing windows required
• Competent with basic tools, window installation experience, and attention to detail
• Self-starter, proactive, organized, and detail-oriented
• Bilingual in Spanish/English highly desired

• Ability to use technology to communicate with AWS and others regarding work order assignments, job progress updates, weather route updates, etc.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional weekends and overtime
• Ability to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and occasionally lift 75-100 lbs. with assistance
• Requires frequent standing and walking
• Ability to work outside in varying temperatures and weather

• Results-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nations Best values
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
• Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
