Get ready to embark on a thrilling journey in the field of law as a Permanent Workers' Comp Defense Attorney. This highly engaging, remote position offers you the opportunity to utilize your skills within the legal industry, specifically in workers' compensation. You will be a vital part of our dynamic team, representing employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in workers' compensation claims. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Workers' Comp Defense Attorney, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Representing clients in all phases of workers' compensation litigation including trials, arbitrations, mediations, settlement negotiations, and pre-trial hearings.
  • Providing legal counsel to clients on workers' compensation laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, and agreements.
  • Conducting and defending depositions of claimants, medical professionals, and other experts.
  • Analyzing medical reports, accident reports, and other relevant documents to prepare for litigation.
  • Developing strategies for complex legal issues to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients.
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and providing updates on case progress.
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 0-3 years of experience as a Workers' Comp Defense Attorney.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar in California.
  • Proven experience in workers' compensation is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with technology and comfortable working in a remote environment.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
