Position Summary This Finance Operations Associate performs a variety of general functions in receivables and payables including matching grant award letters and receipts to vendor invoices as well as processing credit memos, invoices, and time and expense administration. In addition, coordinating with various departments to ensure timely processing of invoices and attainment of efficient payments and credit management. Accountabilities Accounts Payable - Accurately match grant award letters and receipts to vendor invoices
- Efficiently process credit memos, invoices, and manage time and expense administration
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely processing of invoices
- Accurately manage credit payments to vendors
Financial Recordkeeping - Maintain and update financial records with meticulous attention to detail
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues promptly
- Use financial software to enter data with precision and accuracy
Reporting and Compliance - Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required
- Proactively analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations without fail
Requirements You will be successful in this role if you possess the following experience and core competencies Experiences - Possess a minimum of two years of work experience in an accounts payable environment with a sound understanding of computer and accounting basics
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred, with the ability to perform complex functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.

- Ability to 10-key accurately and efficiently
- Attention to detail required for accuracy of data entered
- Frequent deadlines to meet requires fast pace of work

- The ability to multi-task work responsibilities.
Nice to have Education - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- A high school diploma or equivalency (GED) is required

- Occasional travel for meetings, events, or site visits may be required (dependent on the nature of the position and organization).
- Ability to attend events.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday during core hours and occasionally on nights and weekends as needed.
- The role may require long periods of sitting and using a computer and may also involve some light physical tasks, such as printing, filing, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and via phone.
- This role is required to provide proof of COVID vaccination.

YWCA USA salary bands for a given staff level are benchmarked to the 75th percentile for our sector, and all new employees are paid at the entry point of those bands. Employees then have the opportunity to progress through current salary bands through annual cost of living increases and performance-based pay increases, and into new salary bands through promotions.
