Job Description:
- Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions.
- These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools.
- Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies.
- May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application.
- Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource.
- Typically requires 5-7 years of experience.
- (Candidate should have hands on experience in several areas listed below)
- Java/J2EE 5+ development using IBM Stack - WebSphere, WebSphere MQ, Operational Data Model (ODM)
- Java Frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Struts
- JDBC, Oracle 11g+, MS SQL Server 2008+
- Experience working with IBM Websphere MQ 6+, Queues, Topics, Channels, Publish/Subscribe, Apache Tomcat
- UML for creating Sequence Diagrams, Deployment Diagrams, Activity Diagrams etc...
- Develop Soap and RESTful webservices using JAXWS, JAXRS and Spring
- Develop Message Oriented applications using Spring JMS, Websphere MQ
- Develop backend processing jobs using Spring
- Frontend Web Application development using HTML, JavaScript, AJAX , JSP, Struts, JSF, HTML 5/CSS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with distributed team including offshore
- Proficient in using Agile Methodologies and Rally software
- Knowledge of full software development life cycle, including writing stories, low level documentation, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing.
- Enterprise integrations patterns
- Software Engineering patterns
- Rules development using iLog/ODM
- Mortgage Domain knowledge is a Plus
