Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to support a Government Services Client at Ft. Liberty, NC. The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the Government Program Offices global platform and services environment. In addition to maintaining a high degree of reliability and security.

This role is tied to JSOC with the US Army and it provides cloud software development support on site at Ft Liberty, NC. This position requires an active DoD Secret security clearance which will then be upgraded to a TS/SCI following government approval.

Roles & Responsibilities for the Site Reliability Engineer:

• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large & distributed software applications
• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
• Utilize platform applications within a Cloud atmosphere to ensure software development path is executed
• Conduct weekly reviews that are then briefed to government representatives, stakeholders and military staff officers
  
  

Qualifications for the Site Reliability Engineer:

• 3 + years of experience working with container orchestration technologies, specifically Kubernetes
• Ability to program with languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript have experience and proficiency in various scripting languages
• Experience with Agile development methodologies; using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experienced in a Cloud DevOps IT enterprise environment within secure Federal project(s)
• Candidate must currently hold an active DoD Secret Clearance (verification required prior to submittal) and be able to attain and hold a TS/SCI clearance following the onboarding and suitability process
  
  

Compensation for the Site Reliability Engineer:

• Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 **Depending on experience**
