Automation Sales Associate at WomackThe Automation Sales associate is responsible for working within a team to support overall sales growth for specific accounts. Furthermore, the Automation Sales Associate will be expected to attend training courses, stay informed of new technologies, and develop a strong understanding and awareness of current and future market trends in the industry. A successful ASA will have a technical education or background and acumen to assist with design and solution recommendations, while providing excellent customer support. A successful ASA has the opportunity develop into a Regional Automation Sales Representative.
Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesNew Client Acquisition/Growth: - Identify potential opportunities with new and existing clients
- Identify and qualify potential clients using various sales techniques and avenues (i.e., LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, industry lead databases, referrals, supplier leads, etc.)
- Join initial sales calls and participate in the discovery process
- Join/make follow up sales calls to continue the sales process
- Assist in the review of solutions with Clients, create proposals, research and provide data to assist with customer and supplier negotiations
Client Management & Support: - Listen and learn about technical or commercial issues customers may be experiencing and work with team to address and overcome any challenges for the client
- Address and overcome supply chain challenges, helping follow up on orders to insure on-time delivery
- Work with Customer on supply chain and forecast management, projecting and forecasting business needs and provide feedback back to client
- Conduct regular follow up calls to ensure satisfactory results and identify potential future projects
Requirements Qualifications - Bachelors degree in a related technical field is desired but not required
- 1 to 2 years of related experience within automation controls, process automation and motion control technologies is required
Skills & Abilities - Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts to product lines
- Have or develop ability to effectively communicate with engineers and technical designers to determine and deliver appropriate customer solutions
- Ability and desire to work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to persuade and influence others through excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Intermediate ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to travel 25%
