Concord Group Insurance is seeking a motivated and talented Financial Analyst. In this role you will perform and manage financial analysis, reporting, business initiatives and projects. This includes building financial management analyses reports to measure and track key performance metrics and trends. Performs real-estate and cash flow modeling, conducts marketplace research and communicates recommendations based on findings. The role supports the success of companys growth, profitability, expense management, and compliance objectives.
Responsibilities - Support finance planning, analytical strategies, and initiatives.
- Lead business initiatives and projects for Executive, Accounting, Finance and Marketing, in accordance with defined departmental needs and to assure positive impact.
- Perform competitive and marketplace research to strengthen and support recommendations.
- Perform real-estate cost modeling and present results and recommendations.
- Use broad knowledge of financial practices and procedures, and effectively present strategies and recommendations to others. Influence the direction, design and development of recommended changes and strategies.
- Obtain required data for analyses from appropriate internal systems and stakeholders in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Perform variance analyses (e.g. plan vs. actual and prior, multi-year trends) and identify significant items requiring further investigation.
- Perform cost benefit analyses on strategies, contracts and projects to help inform business partners on key decision-making events.
- Build multi-year forecasting in partnership with business and technology teams.
- Build management reports and dashboards that will measure the effectiveness of various activities, cycle time, programs and overall operational effectiveness.
- Analyze data to identify trends, market potential, competitive forces, segmentation, and business shifts, and make recommendations that will drive results.
- Complete ad hoc analyses as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of finance experience.
- Financial designations and other advanced finance education desired.
- Strong understanding and application of Finance Tools and Analytical Methods.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel, including use of Pivot Tables and Macros
- Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results.
- Communicates well with own team and across organizational boundaries to ensure the successful completion of shared goals.
- Comfortable leading meetings and able to communicate issues and trends to senior management and other groups at the appropriate level of detail.
- Motivated problem solver with the drive and commitment to do what is necessary to get the job done efficiently, thoroughly, and professionally.
