Position : JIRA SME/ Reporting Analyst

Location : Allen, TX

Duration : 6-12 Months

Summary : This position will report to the IT PMO Director and will be responsible for acting as project data analyst and Jira expert. Additional duties will include providing coaching, training, developing effective metrics and compliance reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Implementing and supporting project management processes, compliance and reporting
• Propose changes to Jira to support the governance team and the overall project delivery process
• Conducting training for functional end-users on new and updated processes, issue tracking and project management tools and additional training as identified
• Creation of effective training materials
• Keeping documentation current as processes are enhanced or change
• Develop complicated JIRA workflows and schemes.

Required Skills :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable experienc
• 2+ years of experience with hands scripting in PHP, Groovy and/or Rub
• 2+ years of experience working with JIRA with admin role
• Agile Methodology Experience
• Hands-on use of Adaptavist ScriptRunner for JIRA
• Proficient in both waterfall and Agile Project Management
• 2+ Years of experience working in an Agile environment
• Advanced SQL experience (Schema and Joins)
• In-depth skills of the JQL language
• Aptitude to quickly become an expert on Frontier applications and systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience using Jira APIs for integration with other tools

Optional Skills are a plus:

• 1-3 years of Testing Tools such as Hewlett Packard Application Lifecycle Management (HP ALM), AccelQ, etc.
• Development experience
• Certified Scrum Master
