The Opportunity

The role of Marketing Associate is a vital contributor to the JBN team. The Marketing Associate will report directly to the Managing Director. The Marketing Associate will have the exciting opportunity to majorly impact JBNs growth through the conception and implementation of new marketing strategies while maintaining a consistent brand and continuing current successful strategies. The Marketing Associate will work on a hybrid work schedule, having two-to-three on-site days per week. The Marketing Associate will also attend in-person events on weeknight evenings as needed to interact directly with JBNs members. JBNs office and events are located in Manhattan. The compensation for this role includes a base salary plus the opportunity for bonuses.

What You Will Do

  • Continually work to improve our marketing strategies and implement new ideas
  • Implement data collection process to make marketing decisions based on data
  • Drive program attendance and new membership subscriptions through marketing efforts
  • Measure and analyze marketing campaign results to inform future campaigns
  • Collaborate with all departments regarding the design and content of marketing and collateral materials
  • Manage the development and execution of marketing and collateral materials
  • Research, identify, and pursue relevant press opportunities
  • Review cross-promotional partnership requests to determine relevance
  • Manage and execute cross-promotional partner efforts
  • Develop email marketing strategy
  • Manage email marketing campaign calendar and social media content calendar
  • Write copy for and send email marketing campaigns
  • Manage the content of JBNs monthly newsletter and send to subscribers
  • Continually work to improve our social media strategy across all platforms
  • Manage our social media accounts and work to increase engagement
  • Create, schedule, and post content on all social media accounts
  • Oversee the implementation of a referral program
  • Develop branding for programs as needed
  • Ensure that the JBN brand is cohesive and adhered to at all times
  • Conduct consistent research on JBNs target audience and implement strategies to improve the value of our content and increase engagement
  • Supervise freelance employees who contribute to JBNs marketing efforts (photographers, videographers, graphic designers, etc)
  • Assist with updating and maintaining the JBN website
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree, preferably with a Liberal Arts focus
  • Previous experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
  • Previous experience with social media and email campaign content creation
  • Graphic design experience is a plus
  • Proficient in the use of all social media platforms
  • Familiarity with Wordpress, (link removed), and other website development platforms
  • 2+ years of direct experience in marketing
  • Familiarity with the Jewish calendar and traditions or willingness to learn
