Northwest Partners is seeking a QA Analyst II Data Management to work for a premier client in Financial Services in their Greater Cleveland, Ohio office in a hybrid work environment. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa at this time. About the Role:
The Quality Assurance Analyst III is responsible for the oversight, development, and execution of manual and automated testing. The position uses business requirements, workflows, and design information to develop, maintain, perform, and report functional, system, and integration level testing on newly developed and redesigned company software solutions. This position serves as a subject matter expert and works closely with Business, Business Systems Analysts, Developers, and other Quality Analysts through each software development stage. What Will You Be Doing? Participate in software requirement, specification, and design reviews Prioritize work assignments for the team and manage project deliverables. Develop and implement detailed project plans. Participate in User Acceptance Testing and Model Office verification as required. Review code changes with the technical team to assess risk and tailor testing approach accordingly. Reviews QA analyst's test cases to ensure appropriate coverage is achieved. Identifies and remedies gaps in testing coverage. Review defects submitted by team for completeness and accuracy. Coach and mentor Quality Assurance Analysis. Design, develop, and execute test cases using test plans and functional specifications. Perform deliverables tracking and reporting as assigned. Monitors progress of testing efforts within the team to ensure deadlines are met. Develop and provide testing metrics and reports to effectively communicate test status to the test team and management. The Ideal Candidate Brings: - Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology or related field of study
- 4-6+ years of related work experience as an IT Quality Assurance Analyst
- 2-3 years' experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry
- Solid knowledge of software development methodologies, processes, and project governance
- Experience with user interface design and user interface usability testing in web browser and Windows environments
- Experience with Guidewire DataHub and InfoCenter, preferred
- Solid data skills to include data mapping, data sourcing, data extraction & visualization, and data quality.
- Solid database and reporting tools SQL Developer, IBM DB2, Cognos, Tableau, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to use the full functions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The individual must be able to communicate with agency effectively and clearly, departmental, and company personnel via telephone, e-mail, and one on one dialogue. They must possess solid meeting facilitation skills and be comfortable with leading teams and public speaking.
