Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator will assist in creating, executing, and optimizing marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including web, social media, email, and direct mail. This hands-on position will also be responsible for developing and managing content for our social media, website, and marketing collateral. This person will support the Advancement department in a cross-functional capacity.

Essential Functions:
A successful candidate in this role is highly detail-oriented, creative, and self-motivated with a great attitude.
This hands-on position assists in the organizational brand and multichannel marketing strategy and tactical implementation. This person must possess a genuine and natural curiosity to learn about Camp Fire and its programs. Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams. Adheres to professional ethics standards outlined by PRSA.

These skills are applied through:
  • Creating new content and maintaining current content for the website to implement marketing strategies
  • Creating new content for social media accounts
  • Creating email campaigns to support program enrollment, donation solicitations, and community awareness
  • Designing some collateral for print and digital use, coordinating the production and distribution of it with the director of marketing
  • Enhancing brand awareness through strategic marketing and communications campaigns
  • Assisting in monitoring and maintaining brand standards for the organization
  • Effective project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Occasionally serving as a photographer and gather content at Camp Fire events and programs
  • Assisting in the maintenance of an image and video assets database

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Associate degree + 2 years of experience OR Bachelors degree + 1-year of experience. (experience in-lieu of degree will be considered)
Strong communications skills (written, verbal, recording and presentation skills)
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Website editing, preferably with experience using WordPress CMS
Creative abilities using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), etc.
Knowledge of graphic design standards and print production
Email campaign development in Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc.
Experience using metrics and scheduling software
A strong grasp of AP Style
Detail-oriented
Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Prefer 1+ years relevant experience in marketing or communications
Knowledge of current email best practices regarding design, layout, messaging, and deliverability
Knowledge of marketing software like HubSpot, Feathr, SharpSpring
Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities
HTML editing
Photography
Google Analytics experience, certification a plus
Promotional event experience
Bilingual Spanish writer/speaker a plus

Essential Functions:

Ability to drive and have your own reliable transportation
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
Ability to use office equipment including copiers, computers and telephones
Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Ability to work outside in higher temperatures for extended periods of time
Must pass a criminal background and drug test

Relationships:
This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing. In this role, the marketing coordinator will work directly with marketing, development, and program teams to ensure reporting duties are managed accurately and on time.

Accountability:
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relations with program team leads. Must balance the ability to be a fluid collaborator between teams and executive leadership while keeping organizational values, key messages, and impact at the forefront of all omnichannel communication strategies.

Website

  • Maintain and update website content on a consistent basis
  • Manage plug-in interactivity with website and ensure brand standards and user interface best practices are met (i.e. online registration, online payments, data collection)
  • Focus on SEO
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and coordinate website needs and content changes
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of innovative and strategic content, from traditional to new formats, and do so from inception through completion
  • Manage staff blog writing oversite and publication
  • Tracking key metrics and assisting with the preparation of reports providing insights based on data analytics

Social Media

  • Serve as primary social media content creator
  • Work with Director of Marketing to develop a rich content calendar and roadmap that demonstrates a clear plan to strengthen Camp Fires reputation and awareness in the greater community
  • Identify, research and develop stories and interviews
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and coordinate on-brand stories that showcase the values and impact of the organization

Graphic Design, Production & Distribution

  • Assist with in-house design and production of collateral materials such as postcards, fliers, invitations, print and digital ads, artwork for e-newsletters and website
