Job description

EVMS Implementation and Certification

• EVMS Gap Analysis
  • Conduct a systemic gap analysis to determine whether the existing processes satisfy EVMS requirements in accordance with DOE 413.3 standards
  • Support gap analysis required to review the existing systems and processes
  • Determine what capabilities are present at SRNS and what can be built upon to achieve a DOE Order 413.3 compliant EVMS
    
• Project and Management Organization Structure Review
  • Review and advice upon the following components are vital to outline this structure within the system:
    • Organization
    • Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
    • Organization Breakdown Structure (OBS)
    • Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM)
  • Evaluate each for consistency within the system and identify any gaps while outlining mitigation steps
• EVMS Process & System Documentation Review
  • Review the system description and provide an overall guide of how the program needs EVMS to manage the program within 413.3 compliance and against the Compliance Review Checklist (CRC).
• Annual EVMS Surveillance
  • Establish a robust surveillance process and rigor that begins by evaluating your EVMS and preparing the team for a Joint Surveillance Review
  • Provide understanding to the underlying, root causes for one-time or recurring issues, identifying and mitigating gaps, then helping the team resolve these issues through documentation, analysis, training, and execution
  • Provide training, mentoring, & coaching to review, assess, and address any process, data, or training issues.
  • Prepare EVM and IMS data for review
  • Conduct independent mock reviews and assessments
  • Help program teams respond to review findings and develop corrective actions

• Process Improvement and Training
  • Determine the level of existing EVMS knowledge within the Program Team and identify common systemic issues
  • Conduct discussions with key stakeholders to identify the current shortfalls between the skill and knowledge needs and current staff expertise
  • Provide core training overview on the following areas:
    • Essentials of EVM, Scheduling, Budgeting, CAM Training
    • Advanced IMS Training
    • Advanced Reporting Methods and Analysis
    • Certification Reviews
• EVMS Pre-Certification Support
  • Utilize the initial gap analysis to develop a corrective action plan.
  • Provide unbiased evaluation concerning the client's ability to successfully implement EVM within DOE 413.3 compliance standards
  • Determine root causes and help mitigate potential discrepancies through a pre-certification Corrective Action Plan
  • Provide concrete steps for clearing all known issues and non-compliance risks
